On this day, MLK Jr. Day & the 2nd Inauguration of Donald Trump: Hope & Action

Today, I want to share a simple but important message: hope and action go hand in hand.

A serene meadow bathed in the golden glow of a setting sun, with vibrant yellow flowers gently swaying in the breeze under the warm evening light.

As we face challenges at every level of government, we must remain engaged in our local and state efforts. This is how we build the bench of strong Democratic leaders who will fight for the values we hold dear—fairness, justice, and opportunity for all.

Now more than ever, we must come together to end the chaos and restore a sense of normalcy and order to our democracy. This isn’t just about one election or one candidate; it’s about the hard work of organizing, listening, and showing up for each other, day after day.

Let’s recommit ourselves to the mission of creating a better future for everyone in our communities. Together, through persistence and hope, we can overcome these challenges and ensure democracy works for all of us.

Onward,

LTC Steve Holden (Ret.)
